Leading of Tikun

Professor Meir Buzaglo

Chairman

The chairman of the Tikkun Movement was the first, back in 1999, to openly and proudly voice the Jewish-traditional perspective. He was also the one who introduced piyyut (Jewish liturgical poetry) to Israeli cultural circles, where it has since become a central element of contemporary Israeli music.

Pro. Buzaglo is a senior lecturer in the philosophy of mathematics at the Department of Philosophy at the Hebrew University and an expert on Maimonides' writings. He has authored numerous books and articles and manages an active Facebook page with thousands of followers engaged in vibrant discussions on Judaism, traditionalism, Israeli identity, and more.

Ronny Erez

CEO

Roni Erez has a long history of leadership in education and social engagement. He previously managed HaKlet, an educational framework for at-risk youth in Jerusalem, and served as head of the Social Involvement Unit at the Hebrew University. He was the founder of ISEF in Jerusalem, a Keren Hayessod y emissary in France, and HeadMaster  of the Israel Arts and Science Academy (IASA) for ten years.

Erez has contributed internationally as well, assisting in the establishment of a gifted school in Korea. He developed the "BrainSpa" method for enhancing cognitive abilities in older adults and founded a company of the same name, offering workshops, diagnostics, and treatments across Israel.

He later served as the academic leader of Teach First Israel ("Chotam") in Jerusalem and Be’er Sheva and managed Bikurim High School in Be’er Tuvia. As a regional director in the AMAL network, he promoted excellence, implemented the Mech"R (Humanities, Culture, and Society) reform, and fostered coexistence initiatives.

After retiring in August 2023, Erez took on the leadership of the Tikkun Movement in November 2023, recognizing the deep need—brought to the forefront by the war—for establishing a shared foundation for Israeli society, which had become deeply fractured.
